Proximity Data Centres in STL’s top Edge computing companies to watch in 2021.

8th March 2021

We are delighted to be included in STL’s top Edge computing companies to watch in 2021.

STL are the pre-eminent consultants in the rapidly growing sector of Edge Computing. They help their clients leverage new and emerging technologies including 5G, Edge, Telco Cloud, IoT, and AI.

Here’s what they have to say about Proximity Data Centres in their report:

‘Positioned in edge ecosystem: Facility, Data Centre and Real estate

Notable achievements in 2020: Raised £80M of funding to support its rollout of strategic regional data centres, which will help it invest in secure tier 3 data centres in strategic positions in the UK offering low latency services to the country’s population. Six edge data centres were already acquired during 2020.

Ambitions for 2021: Will grow to 20 sites in 2021 to service 95% of the UK population, providing secure colocation and low latency connectivity for the edge computing community. In addition, connectivity solutions will be introduced for edge computing applications requiring hybrid, private and public cloud services.’

It’s great to be included alongside some other really interesting companies as the ‘ones to watch over the next few years’
